Pinnacle Data
Pinnacle Data Discovery for Google Workspace
Pinnacle Data helps established businesses find out what their operational data could be worth. Pinnacle Data Discovery is the first step: an intake form that asks how much data your company holds. If your company uses Google Workspace, an admin can connect it once and the form fills itself with your storage totals and the number of user accounts, taken from Google's own usage reports.
What Pinnacle Data Discovery does
- Step 1
Connect
A Google Workspace admin clicks "Continue with Google" on the Pinnacle Data Discovery portal and approves read-only access.
- Step 2
Pre-fill
The portal reads your storage totals and user count from Google's usage report, fills the form, and revokes its access.
- Step 3
Review and send
You check or edit every figure, add your contact details, and choose whether to send the form to Pinnacle.
Nothing is sent to Pinnacle until you click "Send to Pinnacle". You can also skip Google entirely and type the figures in yourself.
The three permissions we ask for
openidYour basic sign-in identity, so Google can confirm who is connecting.
emailYour Google Account email address, used to pre-fill the work email field.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/admin.reports.usage.readonlyRead-only access to your organization's Google Workspace usage reports. We read the number of user accounts and the storage used by Gmail, Google Drive, shared drives and in total.
Totals only, never content
These permissions cannot read, open, copy or download any email, file, document, calendar entry or contact. Pinnacle Data Discovery sees numbers, not content.
Access ends right away
The access token stays in your browser and is revoked as soon as the figures are read. It is never sent to Pinnacle's servers.
Needs a Workspace admin
Usage reports cover the whole organization, so only a Google Workspace admin with access to reports can connect. Anyone else can type the figures in.
Your data stays yours
We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with data buyers, AI labs or any other third party, and we never use it to train AI or machine learning models. Submitted forms are kept in a restricted Google Sheet and deleted on a fixed schedule. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what we access, how we store it, and how to ask us to delete it.
